The Makens Bemont House in East Hartford, commonly known as The Huguenot House, is known for a pair of spirits alleged to roam its 300-year-old rooms — Benny and The Blue Lady.
Yale’s Peabody Museum is home to a few “damned” things and a good place to visit to get young curious minds headed down the proper “damned” path.
Gee, I hope cooler — and attached — heads prevail …

A recent mysterious fireball lit up the skies over Texas and reminded us of Connecticut’s “meteoric” rise in the annals of astronomical history.
Since the United States seems to be lacking in destinations for religious pilgrimages, in 1958 the Montford Missionaries decided to construct a replica of one of the most-visited sites on the planet, right in the Litchfield Hills. Why? Well, as someone famously sang — you gotta have faith.
Uh, I don’t think that’s how you’re supposed to play it … although as a parent who has kids who like to play video games, I can’t say that I haven’t wanted to do something like this on occasion.
