Having an October “Damned” Event?
We’re compiling our October events calendar, listing every CT haunted attraction and spooky happening, so please send yours to damnedct@gmail.com.

For any event, please make sure to include dates, times, location, public contact info, admission costs, etc. There is no charge for listings, although we do reserve the right to edit for content and length.

That being said, welcome to Damned Connecticut, home for everything weird, odd or unexplained here in Connecticut, from haunted places and strange spots and curious legends and offbeat news.

We love this stuff as much as you do, and we’re going to offer as much of it as we can find, from the extraordinary and the paranormal to the lost and the unusual, like Gungywamp in Groton (on the home page). And as much as possible, we’re going to explore these mysteries ourselves, and give you some firsthand knowledge of what is (or isn’t) out there if you want to check it yourself.

As this is a new site, we’re still evolving — the plan is to keep on adding entries about anomalous subjects and unusual events as we go, as well as adding other features such as interviews and book reviews, forums and more, so check back often. And of course, we’re always looking for suggestions and visitor comments — if there’s something odd out there you want us to investigate or tell you more about, or something you want to discuss with us, let us know!

Just to make it clear: We’re not true believers, we’re not skeptics — we are more what you might classify as “fortean.” We are open-minded, curious and objective, and honestly, we don’t take ourselves too seriously — the unexplained should be fun, right?

Make sure to check back regularly as we will try to update this site on a daily basis with either weird news, new entries or on our blog.
