As far as I know, they are very secret now, and many of their so called members will never make there luck known to those around them. The stories and rituals they do are truly sanctimonious and resemble that of a deep world that people have trouble visualizing.
I would love to read even more about them, but secrecy is their biggest vow. I would love to know how they have managed to keep parts so quiet, so long and what they are. My fraternity aspires to be like that someday, but obviously we are not to anywhere close to that stature.

I’m sorry if it appears this way, but the Skull and Bones do exist still. That is what makes this story eerie. I think that the story is amazing and that how things were handled truly makes it even more bizarre. It is wierd to think that the choices that a world makes are in the hands of few.
Again a natural born historian, I love to read into information like this. A lot of socieites like the Freemasons, Knights of Columbus and Elks all have their connotations. Some believe that the Freemasons have developed and changed history since their inception post Magna Carta. That is debatable, but they definitely have profoundly affected history. Same with the Knights of Columbus. Honestly the Skull and Bones is a fraternity that was developed with the intentions of being like its predecessors.
I am neither a Freemason or a Knight, but would like to be at sometime, I just think that the Skull and Bones was the fraternity (it was a fraternity) at Yale, that has a long list of distinguished and honorary alumni, and literally strikes up a good roost about how those people have affected history.
Do I think their ways may have been unorthodox, yes, they definitely were not your typical fraternity, but then again bear in mind this is before any laws against hazing or "peppering" of your members so that you could trust and know them as your brothers.
I think the part that makes them so interesting is their ability to keep completely conspicuous from common folk for so long until members couldn't keep their mouths shut. From that point it literally destroyed them, and sunk them into the ground. I suggest you look them up online it really is a fascinating story and developed history.

The Skull and Bones may have ceased to exist due to the fact that it became public.
