Welcome To Damned Connecticut

By | Category: Welcome

Welcome to Damned Connecticut, home for everything curious, weird, odd or unexplained here in Connecticut, from haunted places and unusual spots to strange legends, offbeat news, and of course, paranormal happenings.

We love the odd and weird as much as you do, and we’re going to offer as much of it as we can find, from the extraordinary and the paranormal to the lost and the unusual, such as The Cushing Center (at right), a brain museum in New Haven. And as much as possible, we’re going to explore these mysteries ourselves, and give you some firsthand knowledge of what is (or isn’t) out there if you want to check it yourself.

Unlike 1925 Kansas, we believe in evolution, so the plan is to keep on adding entries about anomalous subjects and unusual events as we go, as well as adding other features such as interviews and book reviews, forums and more, so check back often. And of course, we’re always looking for suggestions and visitor comments — if there’s something odd out there you want us to investigate or tell you more about, or something you want to discuss with us, let us know!

Just to make it clear: We’re not true believers, we’re not skeptics — we are more what you might classify as “fortean.” We are open-minded, curious and objective, and honestly, we don’t take ourselves too seriously — the unexplained should be fun, right?

Make sure to check back regularly as we will try to update this site on a daily basis with either weird news, new entries or on our blog.

  1. I think this Damned Connecticut is awesome, I grew up in Sandy Hook, CT and my father worked for 40 Years at Fair Field Hospital. Its now closed I believe there is paranormal activity going on as we speak at the hospital. So, if you are ever in Sandy Hook and they let you in to look around. Check out the main build there you will see a man hanging out near one of the windows.
