Green, Glowing Object Falls into Bantam Lake

I’ll bet one wooden nickel it was a bright meteor (not meteorite). Even experienced observers can be fooled by bright sky phenomena as to distance, direction, nature etc. Look at the pilot who almost crashed an airliner swerving to avoid… Venus.

I note no one actually saw (or says they saw) the object entering the lake. A bright sky streak disappearing in the direction of the open expanse of the lake… and a blink later it becomes a glowing green whale diving into the lake.
